I am the owner and founder of Authentic Path Wellness. As a Connecticut Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Mental Health Coach, I am trained to view the individual, family, and couple through the relationship lens. I believe relationships impact behaviors, thoughts, and feelings and if we change how we interact with those closest to us, we will change how we think, feel and treat ourselves.

I also believe in the importance of holistic treatment. Often, a problem in one area of life creates a ripple effect. I use an eclectic approach to create a unique treatment plan for each client to help support their personal goals and develop the skills needed to succeed.

On a personal note, when I’m not working, I’m usually out for a walk with my little girls, and taking in nature. I enjoy spending time with my supportive husband, adorable little ones, and my friends and family. Depending on the season, we take in the various seasonal activities and opportunities to celebrate holidays. Fall is my favorite season, so apple picking and pumpkin picking are a must! I enjoy making various goodies including homemade applesauce with freshly picked apples because it’s the best!

I also enjoy reading, working on puzzles, watching tv shows about tidying and design, and listening to podcasts. I personally find daily movement, journaling, and support from my mentor and peer group are helpful strategies to keep me calm, collected, and happy.

In 2018, after nearly eight years of working for non-profits in mental health, I took a step toward private practice by creating my business and beginning to work in a small group as an independent contractor. During that time, I met some truly wonderful clinicians, gained experience working for myself, and learned more about myself as a clinician including areas of interest and my ideal clients. At the beginning of 2020, I decided to see clients through Authentic Path Wellness, formerly Authentic Path Counseling, and further build my practice. Then Covid struck and I found myself practicing exclusively through telehealth and steadily growing my practice. Covid created a large need in the community as we all struggled to navigate the pandemic and our new “normal”.

In 2021, I decided to leave the small group I was working with and focus entirely on my practice. Growing my practice allowed me the opportunity to practice in alignment with my core values, and work with clients I chose. I believe therapy is a collaborative relationship. Ultimately, the greatest indicator of success in therapy is the relationship between the client and clinician. In addition, I have the flexibility of creating a schedule that fits with my lifestyle. I appreciate the opportunity to work with my clients to make sure I'm providing the best care possible. It’s a privilege to work alongside my clients to meet their goals and improve their relationships. To make sure I’m providing the best care for my clients, I need to practice what I teach, which means self-care and boundaries.

"My mission is to provide quality mental health care to clients in a collaborative relationship. I want all of my clients to walk away from therapy with strategies and skills to improve their lives."

Core Values

Collaboration

I believe that therapy and coaching relationships are collaborative. My role is not to tell you how to change or what to do. Rather, to work with you to create your goals for therapy or coaching and explore how you can achieve them together.

Accountability

Change is hard, and sometimes we need someone to call us out. I believe in holding clients accountable and teaching them to hold themselves accountable in their personal decisions and relationships. When clients hold themselves accountable, they are choosing to own their actions and the outcome, which often is empowering!

Respect

I respect that my clients have the option to work with many different providers and have chosen me. I respect that each client has their unique journey and may benefit from support differently. No two people’s lives are alike, and I respect that each client has different needs and therefore unique treatment goals. I respect the therapeutic and coaching relationship and will endeavor to be as transparent as possible. I respect my client’s privacy.

Empowerment

I believe in empowering my clients to create their own goals and then achieve those goals. Ultimately, my goal is for clients to move on and “fire” me because they’ve achieved the skills, they need to be successful. I endeavor to empower my clients to recognize their strengths, follow their instincts, and advocate for their own needs while remaining confident in their self-worth.
